Buddhist Teachings
Two and a half thousand years ago, Indian prince Gautama Siddhartha embarked on a quest for understanding and freedom that transcended all concepts and conditions of reality. On his journey, Siddhartha achieved his goal by realizing boundless compassion, joy, fearlessness, and wisdom, becoming the Buddha — a being who is fully and perfectly awakened from the ignorance and confusion of samsara.

Buddhism in Nala

At the Nala centers, we practice traditional Tibetan Buddhism of the Karma Kagyu lineage under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Thaye Dorje. With deep respect and gratitude, we remember our dear lama, Maniwa Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, who recently passed away and whose wise leadership remains a living source of inspiration for our sangha. Our lineage, focused on bodhisattvas and yogis, is based on Mahayana Buddhism with elements of the Vajrayana tradition. The Buddha taught us that liberation from suffering can be achieved through the "double accumulation" of merit and wisdom. This shows how essential the sutras and tantras are for human development. All of the Buddha's teachings are equally important and perfect, and an authentic teacher, a Tibetan lama, will help students choose the most appropriate combination of teachings and practice for effective individual development.

Nala centers are unique in regularly hosting meetings with qualified teachers such as Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, Sabchu Rinpoche, Dubseng Rinpoche, Lodro Rinpoche, Gendun Rinpoche, Lama Nyima, and many others, who play key roles in Buddhist practice on the path to awakening. Every student has the opportunity to meet teachers personally and consult their questions about their practice.

In our centers, we hold regular group meditations based on the recommendations and structure proposed by Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche. These meditations are open to anyone seeking deeper truths beyond the world of phenomena. Newcomers are welcome and will receive basic information about the Buddha's teachings before their first meditation.

The goal of practicing Buddha's teachings is to understand the nature of the mind and achieve lasting happiness and liberation from suffering, which is the eternal wish of all beings. Buddha's teachings are perfect, and following his instructions with the right motivation inevitably leads to achieving this goal.

During his life, he inspired and guided countless practitioners to achieve liberation from confusion and ignorance, ensuring the preservation of the pure teachings of the Buddha (Buddha Dharma) to the present day.

Buddha imparted three main paths to awakening:

Theravada - the Small Vehicle
Mahayana - the Great Vehicle
Vajrayana - the Diamond Way
