Now we also help girls – more than 70 young ladies.
This nunnery, officially known as Karma Ngedhon Osal Choekhorling, provides the girls, similarly to Dhagpo Sheydrup Ling does for boys, both education and home.
We are very happy we can participate in forming the conditions for meaningful and useful life of the girls in this monastery. Thanks to the kindness and wisdom of great bodhisattva Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche and his amazing assistant Ani Tenzin, they can grow and develop in a beautiful harmonious place.
The school is located in Nepali capital Kathmandu, in the Hasantar area, to the west of Swayambhu. The construction started in 1994 and was completed in 2000, thanks to the support of people from all over the world. Many young nuns thus got a chance to study and practice Buddhadharma. In 2015 the school received a visit and blessing from H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.
