The NALA Foundation helps poor and orphaned children obtain education, supports the translation of spiritual texts, traditional Buddhist art, meditation, and cares for the health of Buddhist teachers.
"When you give a person food, you help them for a day; when you give them money, you might help them for a week; when you give them education, you help them for a lifetime; when you impart Buddhist teachings, you give them everything!"
We are now also helping girls - more than seventy young ladies. This monastic school, officially Karma Ngedön Ösal Chökhorling, provides girls, similar to Dhagpo Shedrup Ling for boys, with both education and a home.
