TRANSLATION OF PRECIOUS TIBETAN BOOKS AND TEXTS
PRESERVING WISDOM OF BUDDHA’S TEACHINGS
NALA Foundation supports translation of Dharma and participates in the project of the translation of collected works of all Karmapas, Karma Kagyu lineage holders.
We have been considering translations of Buddhist texts for several years. The first translations commissioned by NALA Endowment Fund were Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche’s book on Chenrezig meditation practice and Wangchen Rinpoche’s book on Nyungne fasting practice. Our activity in this area increased dynamically when we agreed with Pedro and Dorrit Gomez on our support of the Karma Guen translation project.
KARMAPAS’ COLLECTED WORKS
Collection of Karmapas’ works in Karma Guen archive comprises 1369 titles in 108 volumes. Translation and analysis will make these precious teachings accessible for wider public and will provide valuable information for researchers all over the world. The team of translators consists of Buddhist practitioners with academic education in philosophy, Tibetan, Indian and Buddhist studies and graduates of the Institute of Tibetan and Asian Studies.
SUPPORT FOR TRANSLATORS
At present, NALA Endowment Fund helps to cover costs related to the translation project and it supports directly several translators, including Miroslav Hrdina, a capable and gifted Czech translator from the Tibetan language.
