NAMSHE YESHE

NAMSHE YESHE are two aspects of mind - CONFUSION and WISDOM.

Namshe is a consciousness that is limited, separated, or disconnected.

We are in this consciousness that is full of emotions, confusion and restlessness. Even if we wanted to, we can't get rid of emotions, we can't even stop them.

We are constantly evaluating. We are like judges who are always judging - this is good and this is bad, this is wrong and this is right...

We act as the supreme judge of our existence!

As soon as we start to realize this - it is the first step to PRIMARY WISDOM :-).

It is important to begin to perceive and understand how emotions work, how they arise, where they come from.

We need to start WATCHING and looking at situations so, that we are aware of, what is REALLY HAPPENING.

KHENPO CHOCHOK

He was born in 1964 in the Tibetan province of Kham in a family of shepherds. He began studying the Dharma when he first received teachings from the Kagyu lineage master, Lama Drubchen Karnora, a yogi who resided in a mountain retreat (and also famous as the second Milarepa). His next teacher was the yogi Ngawang Tsultrim, a great master of the Nyingma tradition.

At the age of twenty, Khenpo Chochok traveled to various important Buddhist sites in Tibet. When he arrived in Nepal, he received direct teaching, legacy and empowerment from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, as well as other great masters of the Kagyu lineage, including the 14th Shamar Rinpoche. From 1986 to 1993, he studied in Rumtek at the Karma Shri Nalanda Institute. During this period he studied Buddhist philosophy and received teachings and empowerments from such masters as Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Gyaltsab Rinpoche and Thrangu Rinpoche, and further studied Buddhist philosophy under Khenp Chödrak Rinpoche and Khenp Tsultrim Gyats. In 1993, Khenpo Chochok began teaching at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) in New Delhi. In 1995 Shamar Rinpoche awarded him the title of Khenpo. Two years later, Khenpo Chochok began to teach in other countries in Asia, the USA, Russia and Europe.

He currently divides his time between six-monthly retreats in Nepal and teaching at Karma Kagyu centers. Since May 2010, his home is Paris, from where he travels to other European countries.

Khenpo Chochhok is known for his openness, relaxed approach and simplicity.

Emphasizing dialogue, compassion and personal practice, he is able to convey a very deep understanding of the Buddha's teachings.
